Ibara's efforts in the previous installment set him up for a one-on-one with Senku in Dr. Stone season 3 episode 19 (Image via TMS Entertainment)

In Dr. Stone season 3 episode 18, Hyoga appeared to retreat from Moz, only to reveal that he was waiting for Senku and Co. to provide him with the necessary equipment for his kudayari spear. With his new weapon, he easily overpowered Moz, despite Moz's natural talent and strength in spear fighting.

Meanwhile, Yo attempted to activate the Medusa Device while using it as a bluff to keep Ibara's soldiers at bay. However, Ibara took control of the situation by commanding the Medusa Device to activate, causing Yo to be petrified. After retrieving the device, Ibara set it to activate in 15 minutes, then had Oarashi swallow it and run to the center of the island.

What to expect (speculative)

As the power team of the Kingdom of Science hurried to restrain Oarashi, Senku, Chrome, and Ryusui scrambled to come up with a plan. Once the light of the Medusa Device went away, Ibara returned to the island and retrieved it from Oarashi’s statue. He then traced the footsteps to the mobile lab, where Senku attempted to activate the Medusa Device over the cellphone. When this failed, Senku personally confronted Ibara as the episode came to a close.

It's no surprise that Dr. Stone season 3 episode 19 will undoubtedly begin by delving into how Senku managed to survive the petrification caused by the Medusa Device. Judging by the positions of Ryusui, Chrome, and the others, Senku most likely calculated the speed of the light and skillfully used the Revival Fluid to revive himself at just the right moment.

In Dr. Stone season 3 episode 19, Ibara will attempt to launch the Medusa Device at Senku after activating it. However, Senku is expected to have a plan to counter this tactic. Ibara's lack of experience in using the weapon in long-range will likely lead to his downfall in the upcoming episode(s).
