Rose Leslie and Kit Harington are thrilled to announce the birth of their second child, a baby girl. Harington’s representative confirmed the joyful news to Page Six on Monday, July 3.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February, the Modern Love actor announced that he and Leslie were expecting their second child. He also provided an update on their son, who was born in 2021.
"I'm excited to share that we will soon be welcoming another addition to our family," Harington shared with Fallon. "Having our first child was a joyous experience, but preparing for this second one brings a dose of reality. It's time to be practical and brace ourselves for the challenges of having two children."
Harington and Leslie first met in 2011 when they were filming season 2 of Game of Thrones. Despite a short breakup in August 2013, we exclusively reported in August 2014 that the couple had secretly gotten back together.
According to an insider, they had been back together for approximately three months at that time. However, their relationship was described as casual and they were simply enjoying each other's company. They had not yet reached the stage of moving in together or taking any significant steps in their relationship.

Their engagement was later confirmed in a statement published in The Times in September 2017. The announcement read, "Mr. K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie. We are pleased to announce the engagement of Kit, the younger son of David and Deborah Harington from Worcestershire, to Rose, the middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie from Aberdeenshire."
Harington and Leslie got married in June 2018 in Scotland, with their costars Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and Emilia Clarke in attendance.
Just five months after their wedding, Russian model Olga Vlaslova alleged that she had an affair with the actor known for his role in Pompeii. However, Harington's representative dismissed these claims in a statement to Us in November 2018, asserting that Harington had never visited Luxembourg nor had he ever met Olga Vlaslova.
In May 2019, the duo encountered a significant hurdle as reports emerged of Harington's decision to seek professional assistance at a treatment facility. According to an insider, Harington had been leading an unhealthy lifestyle, constantly burdened by stress and resorting to unhealthy coping mechanisms. The insider also revealed that his significant other had been urging him to seek treatment for some time, underscoring her deep love and concern for him.
Despite facing challenges, the Downtown Abbey alum announced her pregnancy with the couple's inaugural child in September 2020. She proudly showcased her baby bump in the U.K's Make magazine during that period.
"I am incredibly excited about this new chapter and eagerly anticipate the arrival of our newest family member!" Leslie enthusiastically shared with the New York Post a month following the news' revelation.
Harington's representative confirmed to Us in February 2021 that the couple had joyfully embraced parenthood with the arrival of their baby boy. Since then, the London native has candidly discussed the joys and hurdles of fatherhood.
"I wake up every day and care for this small human, and now we form a united front," Harington shared with Access Hollywood in August 2021. "The most astonishing aspect of being a father is realizing that we are now a cohesive unit of three, and this brings an entirely new dynamic that we must navigate. Each day, as my child grows and evolves, I am constantly discovering how this transformation impacts me. It is truly a remarkable and gratifying experience."
