Dorinda Medley, a cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City, refused to let Ramona Singer's N-word scandal affect her experience at BravoCon 2023. In an exclusive interview on November 4th, during the second day of the Bravo fan convention in Las Vegas, the 58-year-old reality star revealed that she had not spoken to Ramona. Despite feeling saddened and disappointed, Dorinda's focus remained on enjoying the moment at BravoCon and appreciating the support from fans. She emphasized the importance of being present and fully engaged in the event.
In a recent Vanity Fair article, Ramona, 66, was accused of using a racial slur in a conversation with a Black crew member while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy. She also used the same term in a text to a Page Six reporter while defending herself against the claims in the Vanity Fair article. A screenshot of the text, shared by the outlet on October 31, shows Ramona clarifying that she used the term "N-word" and not the actual racial slur. As a result of this controversy, Ramona was subsequently removed from BravoCon's lineup of reality star appearances.
Dorinda acknowledged that this scandal occurred around the same time when she traveled from New York to Nevada for BravoCon. Despite the controversy and Ramona's absence, Dorinda chose to focus on the positive aspects of the convention.
"I want BravoCon to center around me and the legacy of RHUGT: RHONY," she shared with Us on Saturday. "I desire to fully embrace the present moment, but eventually, we must confront these matters upon our return to reality."
Despite their inability to reunite face-to-face at BravoCon, fans can expect to witness Dorinda and Ramona's reunion on the upcoming season of RHUGT. The new season will showcase a cast of former RHONY stars.

"It's my second Ultimate Girls Trip, and how different it is this time because I don't have to play host," Dorinda joked. "No more reminding people not to wear shoes upstairs or not to eat in the rooms. These are basic things that people should know. This time, I get to be a guest in St. Barts." (Her Massachusetts Blue Stone Manor was the setting for RHUGT season 2.)
Joining Dorinda and Ramona on their trip to St. Barts are fellow RHONY stars Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, and Kristen Taekman. "It felt like we had never been apart," Dorinda said about reuniting with the cast. "And I genuinely mean that. By lunchtime, we were back in the swing of things."
Dorinda expressed her anticipation of working alongside Kelly, 55, and Kristen, 46, in the filming process. "Filming with Kelly was a new experience for me. As for Kristen, when I first met her, it was during her final season, and she was a completely different person back then," she hinted. "Kristen possesses a strong voice, even challenging me at times. I felt a mix of pride and surprise. She is assertive and has a powerful presence, and I was truly proud of her."

Dorinda believes it is crucial to stay connected with her former costars. She values demonstrating to the audience that she continues to evolve, grow, and bring interesting perspectives to the table. Despite one endeavor coming to an end, she finds inspiration in working on new projects and finds joy in witnessing the resilience of her fellow cast members. The enchantment, both on and off screen, persists among these extraordinary women. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy will debut on Peacock on Thursday, December 14.
