Social media users were fooled into thinking that Prince Harry attended the 2024 Met Gala, but it was actually just a doppelganger.

A man who bore a strong resemblance to the 39-year-old prince was spotted assisting guests up the famous Met steps. He was also seen adjusting celebrities' outfits for photos, as they embraced the event's "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" theme with a dress code inspired by a "Garden of Time."

One user commented via X on Monday, May 6, "Does anyone else keep thinking this is Prince Harry?" They were referring to a clip of a doppelgänger assisting Queen Latifah.

Another person chimed in, saying, "I briefly thought Prince Harry had taken on a new role holding people's dresses at the Met Gala."

Harry and Meghan Markle did not attend the annual event at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Instead, they chose to celebrate their son Archie's 5th birthday. (The couple also has a daughter named Lilibet, who is 2 years old.)

The next day, Harry traveled to the U.K. to participate in the 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games. He was seen at The IGF Conversation: Realizing a Global Community event on Tuesday, May 7, standing next to Dominic Reid OBE, who is the CEO of the Invictus Games Foundation.

Markle and their two children will not be accompanying Harry on the overseas trip. However, the couple is planning to travel to Nigeria after Harry's visit. Despite being in the U.K., Harry is not expected to have a reunion with his father, King Charles III.

A spokesperson for Harry addressed the inquiries and speculations about a potential meeting between The Duke and his father during his time in the UK this week. Unfortunately, it will not be possible due to King Charles III's busy schedule, as confirmed to The Post on Tuesday.

Before the trip, a source told us that it was uncertain if Harry would get to see any of his family, like his brother William.

The insider mentioned that the brothers haven't talked, but there is a chance for that to happen. Harry would be happy to see them, as he invited his family to the Invictus Games.

Harry is now described as being very happy and at peace, with no lingering negative emotions about his family's past challenges. According to a different source, he believes that his life has significance and that he can make a positive impact on the world.
