Disney Dreamlight Valley players are expressing dissatisfaction with the current arrangement of Star Path duties. With every major update, the Star Path undergoes a complete overhaul. Designed as a battle pass-style system, players progress through the Star Path by completing various in-game tasks and unlocking tokens to earn rewards. To access more lucrative rewards, players can purchase the premium version of the Star Path using Moonstones.

The Wonder of Pixar Star Path was introduced to Disney Dreamlight Valley with The Remembering update. This Star Path pays homage to Pixar and features a variety of motifs, clothing, furniture, and Dream Styles inspired by Pixar movies such as Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Inside Out, and Turning Red. Six pages of rewards are available, with an additional page providing bonus Moonstones.

The main issue with Pixar Star Path lies in the time-consuming and monotonous tasks that offer minimal rewards. According to numerous fans, the tasks feel unrewarding since they spend hours completing them with a companion character in Disney Dreamlight Valley, only to receive a meager 10 tokens that may unlock a motif if they are lucky. Disney Dreamlight Valley has faced criticism from the community, especially after the controversial 4,000 Moonstone price tag of the first Dream Bundle. While the Premium Star Path is less expensive, obtaining Moonstones in Disney Dreamlight Valley is challenging, and players often resort to purchasing them with real money to acquire special event items. As the free-to-play launch of Disney Dreamlight Valley draws nearer, concerns have arisen regarding the game's monetization strategies.
