Disney CEO Confirms Development of Frozen 4 Alongside Two New Stories

Disney CEO Bob Iger recently announced that the company is currently in the process of developing two additional stories for the beloved Frozen franchise. With the production of Frozen 3 and 4 underway, the team is diligently working to bring these animated films to audiences in the near future.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Iger provided an update to fans about the progress of Frozen 3, the highly awaited third installment in the renowned series. In addition, he subtly suggested that a fourth film is currently in development and being discussed, something that had not been disclosed by the company before.

“‘Frozen 3’ is in the works, and there might be a ‘Frozen 4’ in the works too.” Iger then added, “But I don’t have much to say about those films right now. 

Director Jenn Lee, the creator of the original 'Frozen' and 'Frozen 2,' is currently busy working alongside her team at Disney animation on not just one, but in fact two captivating tales. In response to these remarks from the CEO, renowned Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez took to social media to confirm their return to craft the music for the upcoming two installments, exclaiming, "I've remained silent on here for quite some time, but this year, it all changes."

Frozen 3 was confirmed in February 2023, and the idea of a fourth film had not been previously discussed before Iger's recent comments. These upcoming two movies will continue the story from the successful 2019 film, Frozen 2, which gained popularity among both critics and fans.
