The new Avatar game, Frontiers of Pandora, is set to be released in December, two years ahead of the next Avatar film premiering in 2025. According to Joshua Izzo of Avatar studio Lightstorm, fans of the sci-fi series may find hints about Avatar 3 within the game. "There are going to be some future sequel elements in Frontiers of Pandora that will pay off when the movie comes out in 2025," Izzo mentioned to IGN. He also suggested that careful Avatar fans who have played the game may want to revisit certain aspects, as they will be revealed to them in 2025.
The new video game Frontiers of Pandora introduces three previously unseen Na'vi clans, which producer Jon Landau suggested could be integrated into future movies. The game is set in the Western Frontier of the Avatar universe and is considered an official part of the world, with a release date on December 7 for console and PC. This will be Ubisoft's second major Avatar game, following their collaboration with Cameron and Lightstorm on a tie-in game for the original movie in 2009.
Regarding the film series, Cameron has announced that Avatar 3 is set for release in December 2025 and is currently in the busy post-production phase.
Avatar, released in 2009, holds the title of the highest-grossing movie of all time, while Avatar: The Way of Water ranks third on the list. This year, it has even outperformed new releases such as The Marvels, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in the US.
