And recently, after watching Trick 'r Treat and participating in the Halloween traditions, director Dougherty shared some exciting news – Trick 'r Treat 2 is officially in the works! The sequel has been in discussions since 2013, and now Dougherty confirms that it is creatively underway. He's collaborating with Zach Shields and Todd Casey, who were also involved in his holiday horror film Krampus, and they've come up with an amazing script for the sequel. But before we dig into the world of horror, let's talk about The Hunger Games. Fans of the franchise will be thrilled to hear that a new stage play is in the works. Following the release of the prequel film, A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, starring Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth, in November, the original book and movie will be adapted for the stage. Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson and director Matthew Dunster will be bringing the beloved story to life. However, some may wonder if revisiting the first Hunger Games as a play is necessary. Regardless, the play is set to debut in the fall of 2024.
Now onto some spicy hot horror takes from John and Maggie. Should more villains be attractive? (Think Jennifer's Body and Scream) And what about Hocus Pocus?
