Blizzard will launch Update 1.1.3 for Diablo 4 in a few days and has released the full patch notes. As a live service game, Blizzard constantly updates and improves the core experience. While some players eagerly wait for features like weekend events, Blizzard focuses on addressing the game's issues with new updates. One common challenge in a loot based game is managing the overwhelming number of items, particularly gemstones. Fortunately, Blizzard is working on requested features like a loot filter to prevent accidental item pickups and an elemental resistance rework, both expected to launch alongside Season 2 in October. In the meantime, Blizzard continues to release new fixes, as outlined in the patch notes for 1.1.3.

In a familiar manner, Blizzard has preemptively released the forthcoming patch notes for Diablo 4. The anticipated Update 1.1.3 for Diablo 4 is quite substantial, as it entails various adjustments to gameplay elements. This includes modifying monster abilities and Elite Affixes, which apply crowd control effects, in order to diminish their impact on players. Henceforth, players will experience less time being under the control of these effects. A few noteworthy changes entail the decrease in frequency of overlapping walls spawned by Chilling Wind, the removal of Cold Enhanced procs for every hit, an extended cooldown period for ice pillars generated by Cold Goatmen, and more.

Despite Season of the Malignant still being ongoing, Blizzard surprised Diablo 4 fans with a sneak peek at what's to come during a special reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Alongside actress Gemma Chan, who lends her voice to the new companion character Erys, Season 2, titled Season of Blood, will introduce vampires and related abilities. This new season will also bring forth five new and returning endgame bosses upon its arrival on October 17th.
