Currently, the ongoing season in Diablo 4 is Season of the Malignant, which revolves around a mysterious plague threatening The Sanctuary. Blizzard's official website has announced the story of Diablo 4 Season of Blood, set to release on October 17. In this season, a powerful dark lord raises an army of vampires to destroy Sanctuary. Players will need to master vampiric abilities and will have a new companion named Erys, voiced by actress Gemma Chan. The season will also introduce a new questline, though it is unclear if it is directly related to the aftermath of Lilith's defeat.

Players initially complained that Gems were occupying too much inventory space when the game was first released. To address this issue, Blizzard announced that Gems in Diablo 4 will be moved to the Materials tab in the future. This update will finally become a reality with Season 2. Additionally, other updates will include revisions to the Vulnerable, Overpower, and Critical Strike damage systems. Moreover, players will be able to carry forward Renown rewards, Skill Points, Paragon Board progress, and Potion charges to the next season if they have achieved them on any previous Eternal or Seasonal character.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
