Discover the ultimate guide to creating a powerful seasonal character in Diablo 4 and embarking on Season 2's thrilling adventures in the dark and blood-soaked world of Sanctuary

Diablo 4's second season is scheduled to begin on October 17, requiring players to create a seasonal character in order to participate. However, this process can be confusing for fans. To address this, our guide aims to eliminate any confusion and assist players in creating a seasonal character for Diablo 4's Season of Blood.

Please note that the start time for the Season of Blood has been delayed by a few hours, now expected to go live at around 1pm PDT. While players cannot currently create seasonal characters or access the seasonal content, they can still familiarize themselves with the information provided below to prepare for the upcoming season.

Diablo 4: How to Make a Seasonal Character

To start creating a seasonal character, go to the main menu and choose the "Create a New Character" option. Next, select your preferred Diablo 4 class and customize the appearance of your character. Once done, click on "Finalize". This will take you to a menu where you can adjust your Gameplay Settings and choose a character name. Once you have filled in those fields, click on "Start Game" to begin your adventure.

Upon clicking Start Game, players will be presented with a Hero Realm Selection window, offering two options to choose from. These options include the Seasonal Realm and the Eternal Realm. It is highly recommended that fans opt for the Seasonal Realm, as this will enable them to create a character that can fully immerse themselves in the new content of the Season of Blood.

Diablo 4: How to Start Season 2

Seasonal content can only be accessed once the main campaign is completed. Players who have unlocked the skip campaign option when creating their character in Diablo 4 are advised to utilize it. If this option has not been unlocked yet, fans should play through the Prologue with their seasonal character and then choose to skip the campaign after completing the Missing Pieces quest.

After creating a seasonal character and either skipping or completing the campaign, players can proceed directly to the content of the Season of Blood by speaking with Oren in Ked Bardu, a town situated within the Dry Steppes, and initiating the Blood Money quest.

However, it is worth mentioning that players are not obliged to begin the Season of Blood by following its quests. They may choose to level up in dungeons and explore the overworld before delving into this new season. Nevertheless, the seasonal questline serves as an introduction to the main mechanics of the season and completing it will be highly recommended.

Diablo 4 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
