Diablo 4 players have been bombarded with a repetitive in-game message about cross network play, and the notifications are becoming even more frequent. Despite the anticipation for the game's upcoming content, many players remain frustrated with these ongoing issues. Similar to other online RPGs or MMOs, Diablo 4 has a notification feed on the bottom right of the screen, providing updates on various events. However, in recent weeks, players have been sharing memes about a specific message that keeps appearing in their message boxes. This bright yellow message informs players that they have cross network play enabled, even when they have turned off the option. Although initially harmless, the message can quickly become bothersome and distracting, continuously flooding the message box.
On Reddit's Diablo 4 subreddit, Daidot_007 shared a brief 10-second video of their in-game message feed. Out of the 23 messages displayed, 11 of them were the notorious yellow cross network enabled message, often appearing consecutively. This overwhelming flood of crossplay messages obscures crucial information regarding player actions and dialogue from Diablo 4's NPCs.
It is evident that there is a prevalent bug or network issue causing significant frustration among Diablo 4 players. Some individuals commenting on the post mentioned experiencing rubber-banding alongside the message, a more severe problem where the player character abruptly moves forward due to lag. Additionally, one player questioned the necessity of the message's existence, pointing out that the game's core player-to-player interactions primarily revolve around cooperative moments that are equally accessible to PC and console users, even in the Fields of Hatred PvP zones.
Players eagerly await Blizzard's response to the growing nuisance in Diablo 4. Despite the lack of official acknowledgement from the company, the frequency of these messages is escalating, causing player concern. Thankfully, along with the introduction of exciting new items and gameplay features in Season of the Malignant, Blizzard is expected to address and resolve this issue. Diablo 4 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
