Jack Quaid bore a striking resemblance to his dad Dennis Quaid as the two appeared in public together, a rare occurrence. The father-son duo were seen at a Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, January 7, hosted by talent agency UTA. Dennis, 69, sported a casual look in a black shirt and matching jacket, while his 31-year-old son opted for a bold choice in a bright pink suit.
Bass Reeves star, Jack, had children with Meg Ryan during their marriage from 1991 to 2001. He also shares 16-year-old twins Thomas and Zoe with ex-wife Kimberly Buffington. Ryan, 62, adopted daughter Daisy in 2006.
Their son, Jack, entered the world of acting, making his debut in 2012 as Marvel in The Hunger Games. He has since appeared in prominent roles in projects such as 2022’s Scream and Oppenheimer. On television, Jack is recognized for his portrayal of Hughie on The Boys.

Ryan recently recalled noticing her son’s talent earlier on in his life.
“I remember watching him in a middle school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” she recalled to Glamour in November 2023. “He had the role of Bottom. At the time, I was recently divorced from his father and happened to be seated on the opposite side of the gym. As I watched with my head in my hands, a realization struck me - 'Oh, no. He’s good. He’s really good.' Leaning forward, I noticed Dennis doing the same, with his head in his hands. That's when I just knew.”

Although she was impressed with Ryan's performance, she expressed concerns about Jack's adjustment to the entertainment industry, stating, "It's too hard and too weird, you don't wish it on anyone." She emphasized Jack's talents and work ethic and criticized the dismissive nature of nepotism. Jack confessed that he had considered changing his last name to avoid association with his famous parents during auditions.
“I was aware that people would always speculate, ‘Oh, I know how he landed that job.’ And they’ll continue to speculate, and that’s okay,” he shared with Thrillist in June 2022. “But as long as I’m confident in how I got there, that’s all that matters.”

Jack said that during one of his first auditions, a casting director was shocked that he was “actually really good.”
She expected him to be just another example of nepotism," he continued. "A kid with some of the most famous parents on Earth would just do the minimum. Assume he had the part by default and be difficult to work with."
