Disney's Illusion Island begins with the four main characters under the impression that they are going on a vacation. However, upon reaching the village of Monoth, they discover that they have been called upon to assist the townspeople in recovering three stolen magical books.

As The Fab Four embark on their quest, they will journey through three distinct biomes in pursuit of the elusive thieves who have stolen the aforementioned tomes. Along the way, players will unlock a range of abilities that enhance their exploration and add a thrilling element to traversing the world. Each character possesses a unique ability that aids players in uncovering hidden treasures, navigating the map, and engaging in exciting boss battles found at every level of the Metroidvania-style landscape.
