Decoding the Mind-Blowing Omni-Man Cliffhanger in Invincible Season 2

In the first episode, titled "A Lesson For Your Next Life," an alternate universe iteration of the character is featured in the opening scene, residing in a reality where Mark has accepted the responsibility of dominating the world.

Invincible Season 2: Omni-Man cliffhanger explained

While "This Missive, This Machination" primarily focuses on Seth Rogen's character Allen the Alien, the third episode of Invincible Season 2 also progresses Mark's story. In this particular episode, Invincible makes the decision to join forces with a bug-like creature in order to rescue the inhabitants of the planet Thraxa from an imminent disaster.

The truth is uncovered when the credits are about to roll, and it is revealed that Thraxa's supposed "monarch" is actually Omni-Man. With his hand extended towards Mark, the once revered champion of justice greets his son, saying, "Hello, son. It's been a while." Overwhelmed by the revelation, Mark exclaims "Dad" - and then, darkness takes over.

Invincible’s Viltrumites are on the warpath in Season 2

It's an absolutely heart-stopping turn of events, particularly considering Omni-Man's previous demeanor. In their last encounter, Omni-Man seemed on the verge of insanity. However, in "This Missive, This Machination," Omni-Man appears to have returned to his former self, leaving viewers to ponder his intentions for Mark.

Omni-Man's activities likely involve the Viltrumite trio, who have a significant role in Invincible Season 2, Episode 3. These three formidable beings, native to Omni-Man's home planet of Viltrum, effortlessly eliminate Allen the Alien after he refuses to share any details about Mark or his father.

But the threats against Invincible don't end there. Angstrom Levy, the main antagonist of Season 2, remains at large and is determined to seek revenge on Mark after the events of Episode 1. Levy's plan is uncertain at this point, but it appears to rely on his ability to traverse the multiverse.
