Daredevil: Born Again TV Show Taps Former Punisher EP as Showrunner

Daredevil: Born Again has found a showrunner in Dario Scardapane, a former executive producer on The Punisher.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, drawing from their experience on Moon Knight and Loki, will helm the remaining episodes of Season 1.

Matt Murdock, portrayed by Charlie Cox, reprises his role as the iconic character he originally brought to life in the Netflix series Daredevil.

Daredevil: Born Again's showrunner has been announced as Dario Scardapane, formerly an executive producer for The Punisher. Joining Scardapane, Marvel has enlisted Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead to direct the remaining episodes of Season 1. This follows a creative revamp for the series, including the departure of head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman earlier this month.

In addition to Scardapane's appointment as showrunner, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have been chosen to direct the remaining episodes of Daredevil: Born Again's first season. The directing duo has previous experience with Moon Knight and the ongoing second season of Loki. The new adaptation of Daredevil will incorporate familiar cast members from the Netflix series alongside new characters to seamlessly integrate into the wider MCU.

Charlie Cox is set to reprise his role as Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After his portrayal of the character in the Netflix series for three seasons, he made his last appearance in Season 3. However, Cox made a comeback in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Peter Parker's lawyer, Matt Murdock. He will also be seen in the upcoming She-Hulk series and Echo, a Hawkeye spinoff featuring Alaqua Cox.

The Kingpin is Back in Business in 'Daredevil: Born Again'

Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, Daredevil's nemesis, will be making a comeback. In Hawkeye, it was made clear that the Kingpin of Crime has intriguing plans to reshape the landscape of New York City. D'Onofrio previously portrayed the character in the Netflix Daredevil series, thus continuing a rivalry that began in 2015. Joining D'Onofrio in Daredevil: Born Again is Jon Bernthal, reprising his role as The Punisher and reuniting with Cox in the series.

Daredevil, Moon Knight, The Punisher, and Loki are all streaming on Disney+.
