Daniel Radcliffe is thoroughly enjoying every magical moment of fatherhood after the arrival of his first child, a son, alongside partner Erin Darke. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 33-year-old Harry Potter star expressed his delight, describing the experience as both incredible and overwhelming. Radcliffe also praised the amazing qualities of his partner, 38-year-old Darke, and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to spend quality time with their baby boy.
Radcliffe and Darke are enjoying their journey into parenthood. Radcliffe expressed his gratitude for being able to take time off and be present with their child. In March, we exclusively revealed Darke's pregnancy after witnessing the couple's outings in New York City, where her baby bump was noticeable beneath a black zip-up sweatshirt.
The couple maintained a level of privacy while getting ready to welcome their first child, but an exclusive source informed Us that Radcliffe and Darke were "completely thrilled" about expanding their family. In March, the insider added, "It's like a dream come true."

One month later, a rep for the couple confirmed that Darke had given birth.
Radcliffe, whose newborn son's name remains undisclosed, aims to prioritize spending time at home while he is still an infant. However, he does not intend to completely distance himself from the public eye.
"It's safe to say that things will change," said the Miracle Workers actor to ET. "Although it hasn't affected me significantly yet, I truly enjoy being with my son, and I know I'll miss him when I return to work later this year. Therefore, I anticipate being somewhat more judicious in my choices—though I've always been discerning—and possibly reducing my workload for the next few years."
Radcliffe stated: "I will never stop. I believe that wouldn't be beneficial for me either."
Prior to becoming a father, Radcliffe discussed his aspirations of starting a family and expressed his reservations about his children pursuing careers in acting.
"I hope that my children will have the opportunity to be on film sets," he expressed to Newsweek in October 2022. "Ideally, they would visit a film set and be inspired to pursue a career in the art department or join the crew."
Recalling his own upbringing in Hollywood during the filming of the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe emphasized that he would not want his children to experience fame at a young age. "Film sets are amazing environments," he elaborated. "They can be incredibly beneficial for children. However, it is crucial to avoid the negative aspects of fame at all costs."
