Daniel Radcliffe and Girlfriend Erin Darke's Unforgettable Act of Support on SAG-AFTRA Strike: Meet their Adorable Baby Boy!

In New York City on Friday, July 21, Daniel Radcliffe proudly marched the picket line with his girlfriend Erin Darke in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Carrying his 3-month-old son, Radcliffe wore grey jeans, a blue T-shirt, and a matching Toronto Maple Leafs baseball cap. His son was safely held in a slate blue baby carrier on Radcliffe's chest, dressed in a cute dinosaur onesie and protected with a black and white striped sun hat. Darke, on the other hand, sported a SAG-AFTRA Strong shirt, dark bike shorts, a green baseball cap, and orange sunglasses.

The new mother, who had met Radcliffe during their work together in the film "Kill Your Darlings" in 2013, held a strike sign while her partner held their son tightly.

Their precious little one was born in April, three months before SAG-AFTRA decided to go on strike. We had previously reported the news of their pregnancy one month earlier. Before the arrival of their baby boy, a trusted source had informed Us about Radcliffe and Darke's preparations for parenthood.

“Daniel and Erin are filled with pure happiness regarding the pregnancy,” revealed an insider in March. “It’s like a wish come true! They have been enthusiastically sharing ultrasound pictures with their nearest and dearest.”

The source highlighted that their loved ones were ecstatic about the pregnancy. “[Erin is] participating in birthing classes, and they have purchased a plethora of introductory baby books to ensure they are well-prepared,” the insider added. “Dan is taking an active role in the kitchen — preparing vegetable dishes and meals rich in Folic acid!”

Radcliffe recently revealed that he and Darke have welcomed a son, although they have chosen not to disclose his name. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Radcliffe expressed his joy and described his son as wonderful, while also praising Darke's incredible parenting skills. As he promotes the fourth season of his comedy show Miracle Workers, the actor considers it a privilege to have this special time with his newborn.

Additionally, Radcliffe shared that he and Darke are thoroughly enjoying their new role as parents. He acknowledges that not everyone has the opportunity to take time off, but he feels fortunate to be able to spend a lot of quality time with their son.

Radcliffe plans to be more selective with his work now that he is a parent. He expressed his desire to spend quality time with his child and stated that he will continue to love his job but will be more mindful of the amount of work he takes on. However, he will not be working on screen until the SAG-AFTRA strike is resolved. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA are currently on strike due to contract negotiations with the AMPTP, focusing on fair wages, residual payments, and the impact of artificial intelligence in the industry.

Darke wore a SAG-AFTRA Strong shirt, dark bike shorts, a green baseball cap, and orange sunglasses.

The new mother, who starred alongside Radcliffe in the 2013 film Kill Your Darlings, held a protest sign as her partner lovingly held their son.

In March, a source revealed that Daniel and Erin were filled with immense joy and excitement over the pregnancy. It was like a dream come true for them! They happily shared ultrasound photos with their closest family and friends.

According to the insider, their loved ones were ecstatic about the pregnancy. Erin has been attending birthing classes and together, they have accumulated a collection of baby books to ensure they are well-prepared. Additionally, Daniel has taken on a proactive role in the kitchen, cooking nutritious meals with vegetables and Folic acid-based ingredients!

Although the little one has not been named yet, Radcliffe recently disclosed that he and Darke have had a son earlier this month. "It's amazing. It's both exhilarating and overwhelming, but he's absolutely wonderful and Erin is incredible," he shared with Entertainment Tonight while promoting the fourth season of his TBS comedy Miracle Workers prior to the strike. "It's also a true privilege to have this special time with him."

The English-born actor further expressed that he and Darke are thoroughly enjoying their new roles as parents. "I always planned to take some time off, which not everyone can do, so I have the luxury of being able to spend a lot of time with him, and it's just lovely," he elaborated.

Radcliffe anticipates being more selective in his professional endeavors now that he is a parent. In an interview with E! News, he expressed his desire to spend quality time with his child, which may result in him reducing his workload for a few years. However, he reassured that his love for his job remains unchanged and he intends to continue working. Currently, he is unable to work on screen due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Both the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA are engaged in negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) to secure fair wages, residual payments, and address the impact of artificial intelligence in the industry.
