Daisy Kent was happy for Bachelor Joey Graziadei and his fiancée Kelsey Anderson when they got engaged. She knew they were meant to be together and only wanted to show her support for them.
During an episode of “The Viall Files” podcast on Thursday, April 4, Daisy, 25, clarified that she did not intentionally overshadow their special moment. In the final episode of The Bachelor in March, Daisy and Kelsey, 25, arrived together in a limo to the rose ceremony. Daisy had already ended things with Joey, 28, before he proposed to Kelsey.
Daisy emphasized that she knew deep down it wasn't her and that something felt off. She expressed, "If I'm feeling this way, there's no way he's not feeling this way." It was a tough situation, especially because of her close friendship with Kelsey and the respect she had for her. They had shared many meaningful conversations.
Reflecting on the events, Daisy realized that Kelsey was the perfect match for Joey after Rachel Nance was eliminated post-fantasy suites. During a conversation with host Nick Viall, she explained that she could see it in the way Joey and Kelsey looked at each other - there was a special connection between them.
Daisy remembered our last talk before she broke up and Kelsey proposed. We were there for each other. I told her, "He's not my person, he's your person." She said, "I love him so much." I reassured her that I was okay and wanted her to be happy. We decided to go together in the car.

Daisy further explained her reasoning for going to Kelsey’s room to chat instead of straight to Joey’s to call it quits.
Daisy explained that she immediately approached Kelsey to show her support, despite feeling hurt at the time. She wanted both Kelsey and Joey to know that she only wished for their happiness. Daisy addressed the critics who accused her of overshadowing Kelsey's moment by pointing out that Kelsey herself found relief in their conversation.
In their chat, Daisy and Kelsey found reassurance that the finale outcome was ultimately the right decision for everyone involved.
“I don’t regret anything that I did,” Daisy said. “I think I did the right thing and I think I’m happy with how it all played out.”

As Daisy and Kelsey sat together in the limo, they had a heart-to-heart conversation. Daisy reassured Kelsey that she was fine with leaving the show without a partner and just wanted both Kelsey and Joey to find happiness.
After leaving the show, Daisy was considered for the role of the next Bachelorette. However, after some discussions, she decided to decline the offer a few weeks before the After the Final Rose episode. Jenn Tran was then chosen to be the new Bachelorette and is currently filming for the show.

The Bachelor franchise has witnessed its fair share of dramatic moments, and the recent events surrounding Daisy Kent, Joey Graziadei, and Kelsey Anderson are no exception. Daisy's decision to arrive at the final rose ceremony alongside Kelsey, despite having ended her relationship with Joey, sparked controversy among viewers. However, Daisy's explanation sheds light on her intentions, revealing that she acted out of genuine support for Kelsey and Joey's relationship. Her decision to approach Kelsey before confronting Joey further highlights her sensitivity and respect for her friend.
Daisy's decision to decline the offer to be the next Bachelorette is also noteworthy. While she was initially considered for the role, she ultimately decided that it was not the right path for her. This decision demonstrates her maturity and self-awareness, as she recognized that she was not ready for the intense scrutiny and pressure that comes with being the lead of a reality TV show.
