The Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024 have come to an end, and Idol by Yoasobi has been named the winner of the Best Anime Song of 2024. It did, however, lose the Best Opening Sequence award to Jujutsu Kaisen's "Where Our Blue Is."
Idol by Yoasobi was the opening song for the Oshi No Ko series season 1, which premiered in April 2023. Surprisingly, the song gained more popularity than the anime itself and once again topped the 2023 Billboard Japan charts.

As Aqua grows up, his mother Ai is also murdered by the same fan. This leads Aqua to investigate and suspect his own father's role in the tragedy.
