Following Matthew Perry's death, Courteney Cox reflects on their shared experiences on the television series Friends. Cox expressed her gratitude for the time they spent together and shared her deep longing for Perry, stating that she misses him on a daily basis. She took to Instagram on November 14 to convey her emotions, revealing that working closely with Perry provided her with countless memorable moments that she wishes she could share. Cox then proceeded to share one of her favorite memories. Tragically, Perry passed away on October 28 at the age of 54 at his Los Angeles residence due to an apparent drowning incident in his jacuzzi.
The actress, known for her role as Monica Geller on the popular NBC sitcom, reminisced about an episode from season 4. The episode featured Monica and Chandler engaging in their first intimate encounter while in London for Ross Geller's wedding. Cox shared the background information that Chandler and Monica were initially meant to have a brief fling. However, due to the overwhelming response from the audience, their relationship blossomed into a love story. Cox further revealed that before filming the scene, Perry whispered a humorous line for her to deliver.
He frequently engaged in similar actions, displaying his humor and kindness. Cox reminisced about a scene from 1998, where Ross entered Chandler's room to announce his wedding on the very same day. Hidden beneath the covers, Monica was present, and as soon as Ross departed, she emerged and amusingly asked, "Do you think he was aware of my presence?"

In the scene that was deleted and only seen by the cast and crew, Monica remained snuggled up to Chandler and playfully said, "Alright, now it's your turn!" before slipping back under the blankets.
"We're just joking. He asked me to say that... he really did!" Cox informed the cameras, trying to suppress her laughter, while Perry smiled at her from the bed.
The sweet moment was just one among the many that the twosome experienced while portraying their onscreen love interests. Friends aired for 10 seasons, between 1994 and 2004.
Two days after Perry's demise, the main cast members of Friends - Cox, Schwimmer (57), Aniston, Kudrow, and LeBlanc - paid homage to their dear friend with whom they had shared many years.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Matthew. Our bond as actors goes beyond the professional realm - we are a close-knit family," stated the actors collectively on October 30, addressing We. "Though there is much to convey, we currently need time to mourn and come to terms with this unimaginable tragedy."
Their statement further expressed, "As we heal, we will share more when the time is right. Presently, our hearts and affection are with Matty's family, friends, and all those who held him dear across the globe."
Prior to Cox reflecting on her time with Perry, LeBlanc, aged 56, expressed his love for their beloved friend.
"Matthew, I bid farewell with a sense of sadness. The moments we shared together are genuinely some of the most cherished moments of my life," LeBlanc conveyed via Instagram on Tuesday, accompanying his message with photos of their days as television roommates Joey Tribbiani and Chandler. "It was a privilege to stand beside you on stage and to consider you my friend. I will forever have a smile on my face whenever thoughts of you resurface, and I will always remember you. Always."
He added, "Go and soar, my brother. You are no longer bound. Much love. And looks like you're holding onto the $20 you owe me."
During Perry's private funeral in Los Angeles on November 3, all five of his Friends co-stars attended, as reported by TMZ. The cast paid their condolences along with Perry's mother, Suzanne Morrison, his father, John Bennett Perry, and his stepfather, Keith Morrison.
