Critics on social media have deemed the inclusion of Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list as "laughable" following his latest accolade. The 19-year-old actor has faced backlash for various controversies, including his social media posts related to the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The star has been inactive on social media since October 11, 2023, but his profile continues to trend as a popular topic. Noah Schnapp's recent inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list has sparked speculation, with users questioning his lack of upcoming acting roles (aside from Stranger Things).
Noah Schnapp’s “laughable” new accolade makes waves
Schnapp’s inclusion in this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 list has been criticized by several social media users.
“Putting Noah Schnapp on the same list as all of these beloved and extremely talented actors is laughable,” one tweet read in response to the news.
Schnapp's limited acting roles beyond his breakthrough in Stranger Things has led some to question his suitability alongside other featured actors like Jenna Ortega and Rachel Sennott. Some have also compared him to Melissa Barrera, who was recently let go from Scream and Susan Sarandon, dropped by her agency for speaking out about genocide in Palestine. One user criticized the inclusion of Schnapp in the Forbes 30 under 30, citing his support for Zionism as the reason for their disapproval.
"He shouldn't have been there with almost no other projects lined up other than Stranger Things Season 5," another person stated. "It's embarrassing that he hasn't done anything besides Stranger Things while the rest of the cast is busy," a third person commented.
Entertainment account Film Updates also mentioned, "The actor doesn't have any other projects lined up besides Stranger Things Season 5."
Stranger Things Season 5 is yet to get an official release date, although rumors currently make a summer 2024 release hopeful.

Editor's P/S
As a Gen Z fan, I have mixed feelings about Noah Schnapp's inclusion in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list. On the one hand, I am happy to see that a young actor is being recognized for his achievements. Schnapp has starred in one of the most popular Netflix shows of all time, and he has a bright future ahead of him.
On the other hand, I understand why some people are critical of Schnapp's inclusion on the list. He has not had as many acting roles as some of the other actors on the list, and his social media posts have been controversial.
Ultimately, I believe that Schnapp deserves to be on the list. He is a talented actor with a lot of potential. I am excited to see what he does next.
