Diablo 4: Complete Chapter 1 and 2 of the Season Journey
"Averting the Onslaught" is a mission found in Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant, presenting two main objectives. These objectives entail the completion of both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the Season Journey. Some players may find themselves uncertain about how to tackle these tasks. Luckily, successfully accomplishing Chapter 1 and 2 of the Season Journey in Diablo 4 Season 1 is not overly challenging. The following guide is designed to assist fans in navigating through these objectives.
To successfully complete Chapter 1 and 2 of the Season Journey in Diablo 4, players should start by navigating to the Season tab. This tab can be found on the left side of the Map tab and serves as a central location for everything related to the Season of the Malignant.
Within the Season tab, players will find the Season Journey box located near the top-left corner of the menu. Clicking on this box will take players to a list of objectives that need to be completed. In order to progress in the Season Journey and resolve Holding Back the Flood, players will need to complete seven tasks in Chapter 1 and nine tasks in Chapter 2. It is important to note that a full list of Chapter 1 and 2 objectives can be found in-game for easy reference.

Conquer a Stronghold (1)
Craft any Chipped gem at the Jeweler (1)
Complete Malignant Tunnels, available after completing or skipping the campaign (5)
Reach level 25
Collect Demon Hearts, found from killing Demons or in Cellars (15)
Change your gear's appearance at the Wardrobe (5)
Interact with waypoints for faster travel to new places (10)
Upgrade items at the Blacksmith or Jeweler (2)
Upgrade your potion to Minor at the Alchemist
It is important to note that there are additional benefits for participating in the Season Journey other than just progressing through the quest line of the Season of the Malignant. Each task completed within the journey grants a certain amount of Favor, which contributes to the advancement of the seasonal Battle Pass. For those unfamiliar, Diablo 4's Battle Pass consists of 90 tiers of cosmetic rewards and currencies, and it offers both a free and paid track.
Players who successfully complete Season Journey chapters in Diablo 4 will be rewarded with new Legendary Aspects. Whether these Aspects will be crucial for creating the most powerful builds in the game's first season is yet to be determined, but many fans will undoubtedly be intrigued and eager to give them a shot.
