Connie Britton brought her son, Eyob "Yoby," along with her to the Global Citizen's Power Our Planet: Live in Paris summit, turning it into a special family event. Sharing a photo on her Instagram Story on Saturday, June 24, the 56-year-old actress, known for her role in White Lotus, expressed her joy under the sparkling Eiffel Tower, calling her son her sweetest companion. They were seen together backstage, showing their support for this significant cause.

Britton looked radiant in her orange ombré blouse as she lovingly held her adopted child, whom she had taken care of since infancy. Yoby, on the other hand, went for a more casual style, sporting a blue soccer jersey, as they enjoyed the performances of renowned artists like H.E.R. and Billie Eilish in Paris.

As an ambassador for Global Citizen, the former star of "Friday Night Lights" attended the event with a purpose - to contribute to the efforts of spreading awareness about the urgency of climate change.

“What a remarkable evening! When we arrived in Paris, we maintained a genuine sense of hope for substantial change, eager to commemorate significant advancements for fairness and fairness on behalf of nations that are particularly vulnerable and grappling with the harrowing effects of climate change,” Britton shared on her Instagram account later that Saturday. “The measures undertaken by World Bank President Ajay Banga to revamp crucial policies, such as integrating suspension clauses into loan agreements for countries devastated by natural disasters, have provided us with encouragement and motivation.”

She continued by expressing her joy over the coalition of countries that agreed to cancel Zambia's $6.3B in debt. Additionally, she highlighted the coalition's support for the creation of a tax on the shipping sector, as well as France's commendable decision to increase its share of Special Drawing Rights allocated to poor countries to 40%. The 'Power Our Planet' campaign remains committed to fighting for justice on behalf of countries and populations affected by climate change.

Britton, who is currently in a relationship with David E. Windsor, welcomed her son into her family in November 2011. Since then, the actress has been actively educating her preteen son, Yoby, about his heritage and the importance of supporting fellow global citizens.

“We constantly discuss his adoption. In his room, there is a large map of Ethiopia and Africa, serving as a reminder of his heritage. Additionally, we make it a point to visit Africa every other year since I brought him home. This is something I am deeply committed to," she shared exclusively with We in December 2019. "In our everyday lives, we strive to openly talk about his background and origin to ensure that he fully comprehends that part of his identity."

Furthermore, she stated at that time, "Despite being raised in America, he takes great pride in his Ethiopian roots. It has always bestowed upon him a sense of uniqueness and belonging."
