Colorado Supreme Court Infiltrated and Subjected to Gunfire, Confirm Authorities

A suspect was apprehended for unlawfully entering the Colorado Supreme Court and discharging a firearm inside the premises, according to state authorities

Early Tuesday, a man was arrested for breaking into the Colorado Supreme Court overnight and firing shots inside the building, according to a news release from the state police. The Colorado State Patrol stated that the incident was not connected to any previous threats made against the Colorado Supreme Court Justices.

Two weeks after a 4-3 court ruling removed former President Donald Trump from the state's 2024 ballot due to his ineligibility under the 14th Amendment's "insurrectionist ban," a break-in occurred. The incident started at 1:15 a.m. and concluded around 3 a.m. when the suspect surrendered to the police, as reported in the news release.

"There are no injuries to building occupants, the suspect, or police personnel," the release said.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
