Classroom of the Elite season 2 finale recap
The finale of season 2 opened with Ibuki's concern for Ryuuen, who was eventually spotted wandering around. She later located him, and he encouraged Ibuki to take advantage of his points, resulting in Ibuki kicking him in frustration. The focus then shifted to Sato, who shared Karuizawa's Christmas plans. She eagerly expressed her desire to go on a double date, as she planned to confess her feelings for Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Soon, Ayanokoji called Karuizawa to gather information about Sato.
Ayanokoji and Ryuen decided to have a meeting to sort out things after their conflicts. Ayanokoji disclosed that he had no intention of climbing the class rankings, but rather preferred to observe the progress of the class. As planned, Sato joined Ayanokoji, and they were accompanied by Karuizawa and Hirata. The double date did not go as well as Sato had hoped, as Ayanokoji did not smile once.
Later, Sato confessed her feelings for Ayanokoji, but he turned her down, stating that he did not believe there was anything that would make him smile. He also explained that he lacked the emotional maturity to be in a romantic relationship with a woman.
