Chynna Phillips shared that she is scheduled for surgery to have a 14-inch tumor removed from her leg. She expressed her shock and regret, admitting that she did not anticipate such a health issue. Phillips posted a video on her YouTube channel titled "My Worst Fear Came True" on Monday, April 22. In the video, she emphasized the importance of being vigilant about one's health, as unexpected challenges can arise for anyone. Phillips invited viewers to join her on a walk around her neighborhood in California as she comes to terms with the situation.

During her walk, Phillips mentioned that she will need to undergo surgery on her leg in the coming months. She explained that she has had a tumor in her left leg since she was young, and doctors are unsure if she was born with it. Although the tumor is benign, it is quite large, measuring 14 inches in length and 4 inches in width.

Phillips revealed that her surgery is scheduled for "eight weeks away" and she is feeling anxious about it due to the anesthesia involved.

She expressed her fear of anesthesia, stating, "I am absolutely petrified of anesthesia, and I don’t know, I just feel like it’s the closest thing to death going under. I mean, it actually is. It’s the closest thing to being dead, which is probably not the best way for me to be processing anesthesia but I can’t help it."

The musician mentioned that she has had anesthesia before on multiple occasions. She remembered receiving it when she had her breast implants removed and during four previous surgeries on her leg.

"I'm about to undergo my fifth surgery on my leg," she admitted. "I'm not trying to whine, but I've had quite a few surgeries. I'm tired of it. I really dislike anesthesia and I'm just going into this next one feeling reluctant."

Phillips admitted feeling anxious about the procedure, but she believes in focusing her energy by turning her worries into prayers. She expressed her faith in Jesus being able to help her through the process if she surrenders completely. Despite her frustration about needing a new incision and adding to her existing scar on her left leg, she remains positive that everything will work out fine. Amen.

This year, Phillips has experienced both highs and lows. At the start of the year, she revealed that she and her husband, Billy Baldwin, were going through a tough time in their marriage. After being together for 29 years, they even separated for six months. In a separate incident, Chynna's sister, Bijou Phillips, decided to file for divorce from her estranged husband, Danny Masteron, in September 2023. This came just two months after he was sentenced to 30 years in prison following his sexual assault trial.
