Matthew Rutler is rarely spotted with fiancée Christina Aguilera, but he was by her side to show support on Monday, October 16.
Rutler, aged 38, was captured on camera accompanying the 42-year-old singer following a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles. He was seen donning a trucker hat adorned with the late-night show's emblem, complemented by an olive green T-shirt and black combat boots with black jeans tucked in. Aguilera, on the other hand, sported a sleek black outfit and coordinated sunglasses.
During her appearance on the ABC show, Aguilera disclosed their shared affinity for playing pranks on each other, despite her own fearfulness.
"I've become more aware of how easily I can be moved to tears since having kids," Aguilera shared with host Jimmy Kimmel. "Whenever I'm genuinely frightened, I find myself crying. It's actually quite amusing because my fiancé and I make it a tradition to prank each other every year."
However, Aguilera just can't help herself when it comes to tricking Rutler. One time, she strategically placed a life-sized mannequin of Michael Myers (from the Halloween films) inside her closet. "I didn't quite succeed in scaring him enough that year," she admitted. "But I've got something very special planned to surprise him next time."

They go all out by creating haunted houses for trick-or-treaters and listening to festive music throughout the entire month. However, their 9-year-old daughter, Summer, is not a fan of their Halloween enthusiasm. During a visit to Kimmel, Aguilera decided to share a video of herself and Rutler jamming to the popular viral hit "Spooky Scary Skeletons" by Andrew Gold. While her parents were enthusiastically headbanging, Summer couldn't help but express her annoyance by moaning, "Stop it!"
The Halloween enthusiasts met while working together on the movie Burlesque. Aguilera began dating the executive from MasterClass in 2010, during her divorce from Jordan Bratman, whom she married in 2005 and had a son named Max with in 2008. Rutler and Aguilera welcomed their daughter, Summer, three years later. They have been happily engaged since Valentine's Day 2014 and have no current plans for a wedding. According to an exclusive source, they are content with their relationship and do not feel the need for a marriage certificate to validate their love for each other.
