Christina Aguilera's 9-year-old daughter Summer Rain is already showing a keen interest in the music industry and has expressed a desire to pursue a career behind the scenes. Aguilera shared in an interview with Vogue that her daughter is fascinated by the production of music and has a love for bands and background singers. Summer Rain also wants to take drum lessons and enthusiastically supports her mother before her performances.
Aguilera revealed that her daughter Summer, whom she shares with fiancé Matthew Rutler, expressed an interest in becoming her manager in the future. "On the way to school the other day with her dad, [Summer] said, ‘When I grow up, I want to either be mama’s photographer or mama’s manager.’ It’s so funny," Aguilera shared, adding that even will.i.am found it amusing, calling Summer a "daught-ager."
Summer perfectly embodies the concept of a "daught-ager," a blend of daughter and manager, according to Christina Aguilera. The intuitive prediction of her birth reinforced Aguilera's belief that Summer would be her protector, watching over and supporting her. This has proven to be true, with Summer often pushing her mother to stay on schedule and take care of her commitments. Aguilera sees this as a beautiful and fulfilling aspect of their relationship.

Summer, described by Aguilera as someone who "marches to the beat of her own drum" and is "such a light," is Aguilera's second child. She had previously welcomed her son Max in 2008 with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Aguilera and Bratman, who is now 46, split two years later before she moved on with Rutler, now 38. Rutler proposed in 2014, but the couple is not in a rush to get married.
"There are currently no wedding plans. [Christina] and Matt are happy just the way they are," a source revealed exclusively to We in August 2022. "They are one of those couples who don't feel the need for a document to prove their love for each other."
