Cher is currently celebrating the release of her first Christmas album, but she just hit another milestone that she’s far less interested in discussing.
Pop icon Cher, 77, made an appearance on the Tuesday, November 28 episode of the Today show to discuss her new holiday LP that was released last month. October also marked the 25th anniversary of her hit song "Believe," which is the best-selling single by a solo female artist of all time.
Today anchor Harry Smith asked Cher, "How amazing is it that 'Believe' is 25 years old?" However, the Oscar winner was not enthusiastic about being reminded of the single's age.
"Okay, it's not that great," she joked. "It really annoys me. You can't release that! It's just like, 'What is this?'"
Following up, Smith, 72, asked Cher if she is at peace with the idea of aging.
younger?" the singer tweeted last year.
OLD,” she tweeted on her birthday in May. “This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can’t understand them. WHATS THE DEAL WITH #’s⁉️”
In 1998, Cher gave an interview where she disclosed that she is currently in the process of writing a memoir that will cover her extensive career. However, she admitted that her first attempt at writing it was a failure, as she held back on including certain uncomfortable but necessary details. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 23, she acknowledged that she needs to revisit her memoir and include the necessary content.
Cher brought up her memoir once more on the Today show, acknowledging that her long life has made the writing process "challenging."
"I've been alive for too long and I've accomplished too much," she stated. "It would have to be like an encyclopedia, to be honest."

Cher's book release date is still unknown, but fans can currently enjoy her Christmas album featuring guest appearances by Stevie Wonder, Darlene Love, Michael Bublé, Tyga, and Cyndi Lauper.
During a September interview on Good Morning Britain, Cher expressed that this Christmas album is like no other, remarking that collaborating with other singers was a new experience for her. "I've never had duets. I've never had people on any of my records. This was a last-minute thing. But they're all special," she said.
