Chase Stokes is thrilled to return to filming season 4 of Outer Banks, and he has a message for fans. "As we start this new season, I want to remind everyone to please avoid posting spoilers," Stokes, 31, addressed his followers in a video shared on Instagram Story on Monday, November 27. "I appreciate everyone's excitement and the desire to capture moments, but if you think it might spoil something, it's best not to share it."
After his PSA, the Netflix star, who plays the lead role of John B. on the show, emphasized the cast's admiration for their fans and their utmost respect for them.
"We are truly grateful for your support and your dedication to the show, but let's all make an effort this year to avoid sharing spoilers that could ruin the experience for fans worldwide," Stokes urged.
Season 4 of Outer Banks is scheduled to be released on Netflix in mid-2024 following delays from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Creator Josh Pate has hinted at what fans can expect, including flashbacks to events before the time jump in the season 3 finale. Pate explained the decision to move the characters out of school, viewing the first three seasons as a trilogy and starting fresh with a new one. He mentioned new villains, a new treasure hunt, and a new life situation coming in the upcoming season.

"Season 4 will see a more reflective and focused approach, with an increased focus on the Pogues," he hinted at Netflix's Tudum event. "It will harken back to the tone of season 1, with less frenetic energy compared to the last two seasons, and a deeper exploration of the events that transpired in past seasons."
Netflix announced in February that the popular show Outer Banks has been renewed for a fourth season. The main cast members, including Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Carlacia Grant, will all be returning to reprise their roles.
