Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 has wrapped up with two heartwarming holiday episodes, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an answer to the burning question: Does Charmaine Roberts finally welcome her twins? Set in the rugged California mountains, the seemingly peaceful town of Virgin River is anything but, with a series of dramatic events keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Adapted from Robyn Carr's novels, the Netflix series moves at a rapid pace, delivering one surprising twist after another.
Charmaine Roberts has been pregnant for a total of four seasons on the show, despite its fast-moving nature. Throughout 45 episodes out of 54, the hairdresser has had a noticeable baby bump and has used it to manipulate her ex-boyfriend Jack Sheridan and cause problems in his relationship with newcomer Mel Monroe. Charmaine initially reveals her pregnancy in the second to last episode of Season 1 and later adds that she is having twins in the following season. Despite the quick pace of other storylines, fans were left waiting for the twins to arrive in Seasons 3 and 4, only to be disappointed when they never appeared.
Throughout the passing months, Charmaine's pregnancy grew increasingly complicated. By the end of Season 4, she reveals that Jack is not the father of the twins. On a 911 call shortly after, Jack describes Charmaine as five months pregnant, after four full seasons. Lead star Alexandra Breckenridge has previously mentioned that things move slowly in the series, but this still doesn't explain Charmaine's prolonged baby bump over four seasons, especially in comparison to Mel's timeline of moving to town, falling in love, getting engaged, and even becoming pregnant.
Does Charmaine give birth to the twins in Virgin River Season 5?
Part 1 concludes with Virgin River leaping forward four months to Christmas, indicating that Charmaine is now at full-term during Part 2. So, does this mean she finally delivers the twins? Keep reading to uncover the answer. Warning: spoilers ahead!

Yes, Charmaine finally gives birth to her twins in the finale of Virgin River Season 5.
In Season 5 Part 2's first episode, Jack and Mel encounter Charmaine, who is heavily pregnant, at the local festivities in Virgin River. Mel remarks that Charmaine still has "a few more weeks" to go, which is biologically impossible after the time jump. Charmaine even makes a lighthearted joke about her seemingly forever-pregnant state, saying "I feel like I've been pregnant for years."
In the season finale 'Father Christmas', Charmaine goes into labor and resident midwife Mel assists in delivering her babies, putting an end to their past animosity. Despite speculation from fans, Charmaine's pregnancy takes a positive turn and both baby boys arrive safely, bringing a happy end to the dramatic TV pregnancy.
Do Mel and Jack learn who the twins’ father is?
At the end of Season 5 Part 1, Charmaine is cornered by the twin’s father… who is revealed to be criminal gang leader, Calvin.
Calvin's unexpected return from what was thought to be prison comes as a shock to Charmaine and the audience alike. Upon Charmaine's arrival at the clinic to give birth, she announces that the twins' father, Calvin, is present, causing Mel's face to fall. His presence causes distress to both Charmaine and Mel, ultimately resulting in Mel demanding that he leave at the request of her patient. Charmaine explains to Mel that now she understands why she didn't disclose the real father's identity, and Mel sympathizes with her difficult situation.
When Jack arrives at the clinic to pick up Mel for their ice-skating date, he discovers that Calvin has already left. Unbeknownst to him, Jack is unaware of the true identity of the boy’s father, whom he had lovingly prepared to provide for, thinking they were his own children. The dramatic revelation will be saved for Season 6.

Editor's P/S
1. I am thrilled that Charmaine finally gave birth to her twins in Virgin River Season 5 Part 2. It felt like an eternity waiting for this moment, as Charmaine's pregnancy seemed to drag on forever. I was a bit skeptical that the show would be able to wrap up her storyline in a satisfying way, but I was pleasantly surprised. The delivery scene was heartwarming and emotional, and it was great to see Charmaine and Mel put their past animosity aside to focus on the babies.
2. I am intrigued by the reveal that Calvin is the father of the twins. This was a completely unexpected twist, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out in Season 6. I am curious to learn more about Calvin's character and his relationship with Charmaine. I am also concerned about how Jack will react when he learns the truth. Overall, I am excited to see where the story goes from here.
