Cesc Fabregas, the ex-midfielder for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona, has recently declared his retirement from professional football at the age of 36. Throughout his esteemed international career, Fabregas obtained an impressive total of 110 caps for Spain, achieving victories in both the European Championships on two occasions and the World Cup.
The Spaniard kick-started his journey at Barcelona's La Masia. However, it was at the tender age of 16 when he marked his professional debut for Arsenal. He honed his skills in north London for eight seasons before eventually finding his way back to Catalonia.

Fabregas achieved tremendous success in Spain, winning LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his three-year tenure, after having only secured the FA Cup while playing for the Gunners.
Upon his return to the Premier League with Chelsea, Fabregas triumphed twice by clinching the title, first under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, and then under Antonio Conte. Additionally, he added victories in the FA Cup and League Cup to his trophy collection.
With deep sadness, I have decided to retire from professional football. I will forever treasure every moment of my journey, starting from my early days at Barcelona, then Arsenal, returning to the Blaugrana, Chelsea, Monaco, and finally Como. From the World Cup to the European Championships, and all the victories in England and Spain, as well as the triumphs in European competitions, this has been an unforgettable ride.
I am grateful to all those who have supported me throughout my journey - my team-mates, coaches, directors, presidents, owners, fans, and my agent. I extend my gratitude to my family, from my parents to my sister, my wife, and my children, for their constant advice and guidance. To my opponents, with whom I have engaged in memorable battles on the field, thank you for making me stronger. Along the way, I have formed countless unforgettable memories and made lifelong friends. Additionally, my travels have allowed me to learn three languages and personal growth and maturity.
"I have encountered experiences that I never imagined I would ever have in my lifetime.
"However, I do not feel melancholy, as I am on the brink of embarking on a new journey: coaching the B and Primavera teams of Como 1907. This club and project fill me with the utmost enthusiasm. This team captured my heart from the very beginning, and we crossed paths at the ideal juncture in my career. I am wholeheartedly committed to this exciting new adventure."
"So, after 20 incredible years full of sacrifices, joy and passion, the time has come to say thank you again and say hello to the most beautiful sport in the world.
"I loved every minute. Cesc."
