Celine Dion wore a mustard-colored Valentino coat at the 2024 Grammys, which was more than just a fashion statement. The singer shared that the outerwear provided her comfort and support as she performed on stage while battling stiff-person syndrome.

Dion, who is 56 years old, described her experience at the February ceremony as nerve-wracking yet a big honor. She expressed the magic and excitement of being back in show business, seeing her fans and the crowd. The singer's surprise appearance was featured in an episode of Vogue's "Life in Looks," released on April 22, coinciding with her May cover of Vogue France.

On the night of the Grammys, Dion handed Taylor Swift the Album of the Year award. She wore a Valentino coat with a delicate pale pink pleated dress, styled by Law Roach.

Dion shared with Vogue, "I was surprised when I saw Taylor walk onstage with a coat. But then I realized, yes, you can do whatever you want in fashion. Have fun, wear that coat, own it, go for it." She added, "Holding onto the coat made me feel better, it gave me a moment to hide myself a little bit from all the attention."

Dion then began to sing lyrics from her 2019 hit “Imperfections,” belting out, “I got my own imperfections / I got my own … I got my own.”

In her cover story for Vogue France, Dion shared how she has been managing her health challenges. She opened up about being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the muscles and causes stiffness and spasms.

She expressed that the disease remains with her and will always be a part of her life. While she remains hopeful for a cure through scientific research, she has come to terms with living with it for now.

In her documentary, I Am: Céline Dion, fans will have the opportunity to gain insight into her ongoing battle with stiff-person syndrome. Céline announced the project in January, aiming to shed light on the relatively unknown disorder and raise awareness about it.

The singer shared on Instagram that they have been struggling with health issues for a long time, finding it tough to confront these challenges and open up about their experiences.

The documentary is set to premiere on June 25 on Prime Video.
