Cecil will require Invincible to have the proper mindset in order to confront a varied and returning lineup of adversaries in Season 2. An important figure among these villains is Angstrom Levy, a new antagonist with the ability to manipulate the multiverse. According to series creator Robert Kirkman, Angstrom Levy is the closest thing to a main nemesis for the superhero and his companions. Voiced by Sterling K. Brown, Angstrom Levy will have a significant presence throughout the majority of the new episodes. With his power to peer into other dimensions, he will give rise to additional enemies who will target the very essence of who Invincible is.

'Invincible' Season 2 Will Be Heavily Character-Focused

The introduction of Levy and the clip both emphasize that in Invincible Season 2, there is a significant focus on delving into the characters. Mark will grapple with the weight of his father’s Viltrumite legacy, and due to the presence of multiple dimensions, he will witness his worst fears materialize as alternate versions of Invincible become just as despotic as Omni-Man. Amidst battling supervillains and personal demons, Mark will also need to find a balance between his obligations and relationships with his mother and Amber, while navigating his friendships and alliances with fellow heroes like Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs).

In addition to the returning cast members, such as Jason Mantzoukas, Grey Griffin, Kevin Michael Richardson, Zachary Quinto, and Seth Rogen, Yeun will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of new cast members who will portray new heroes, villains, and more in Season 2. Several names have already been showcased in images, including Jay Pharoah's new hero Bulletproof and Ben Schwartz's Martian Shapesmith, a personal favorite of Kirkman. As a Gen Z fan, I am incredibly excited for the second season of Invincible. The first season was a wild ride, and I can't wait to see what's next for Mark Grayson and the rest of the characters.
