Cassie has filed a bombshell lawsuit against ex-boyfriend and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
According to court documents obtained by The New York Times on November 16, Cassie, aged 37, alleged that after meeting in 2005, Diddy, aged 54, began a pattern of controlling behavior and abuse. The singer, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, claimed that Diddy pressured her to use drugs, physically assaulted her, and coerced her into engaging in sexual acts with male prostitutes while being recorded. Cassie further accused Diddy of forcefully entering her home and sexually assaulting her in 2018.
"After enduring years of silence and darkness," Cassie stated, "I am now prepared to share my story and raise awareness for myself and other women who suffer from violence and abuse within their relationships."
Diddy has strongly denied the allegations made against him.
In a statement to the outlet, Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafman, said, "Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. Over the past six months, Ms. Ventura has persistently demanded $30 million from Mr. Combs, threatening to write a damaging book about their relationship if he did not comply. This demand was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit filled with baseless and outrageous lies, with the intention of tarnishing Mr. Combs's reputation and seeking financial gain."

Cassie's legal team alleged that Diddy attempted to bribe her with a substantial sum of money in order to keep her quiet, an offer which she turned down.
During their tumultuous 11-year relationship, Cassie and Diddy experienced several breaks and reconciliations until their final split in 2018. As per the lawsuit, when Cassie began seeing rapper Kid Cudi in 2012, Diddy became so enraged that he made threats to destroy Cudi's vehicle.
According to the documents, Kid Cudi's car detonated in his driveway around that period. Cudi confirmed to the NY Times that Cassie's version of events was completely accurate.
Following her separation from Diddy, Cassie found love with Alex Fine, and the couple tied the knot in September 2019. Together, they have daughters named Frankie and Sunny.
Diddy, for his part, is the father of seven children.
