Cardi B doesn’t pay attention to people who criticize her looks. She recently performed at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas wearing a tight leopard-print bodysuit. After the show, she posted a video of herself enjoying a plate of pancakes with whipped cream to shut down any negative comments about her body.

"I'm feeling really down right now because people are body-shaming me," she expressed in the video. "They're all saying I look fat and that my butt is too big. It feels like everyone is against me. I don't know what to do."

After the video, some people showed their support for the singer, while others mentioned that their comments were more about Cardi's plastic surgery rather than her weight.

Some people on X commented that the surgeries Cardi B got look extreme, but they did not call her fat. One user said, "You are BOTCHED not fat."

Cardi B has explained in the past why she chose to have several plastic surgeries, such as liposuction and illegal butt implants, even before she became famous.

In September 2019, she shared in a now-deleted Instagram video that she doesn't like talking negatively about someone's body. She mentioned how she remembers her own struggles with her body, like not having big breasts and a small butt. She only criticizes others' bodies when they are disrespecting her.

Recently, Cardi B opened up about taking a break from the spotlight after giving birth to her second child in September 2021. She underwent plastic surgery during this time. The singer has two children, daughter Kulture, 5, and son Wave, 2, with her husband Offset. Offset, 32, also has sons Jordan, 14, and Kody, 9, as well as a daughter Kalea, 9, from previous relationships.

Cardi revealed during an episode of Revolt’s The Jason Lee Show in January 2023 that she didn't want to have cosmetic surgery right after giving birth to her son. She explained that she waited for seven months to have the procedure because she wanted to focus on getting her body back in shape first.

After welcoming her son Wave, Cardi shared that she was able to finally get some cosmetic procedures done that she had always wanted.

"People may think that having surgery means you're not confident or you dislike yourself. But that's not the case," she said. "I just feel that if there's something I want to fix or enhance, I'll do it without caring about what others think. I strive for perfection and have a specific body ideal for myself. So if I want to make changes, I'll go ahead and do it."

Editor's P/S:

Cardi B's journey with body image and plastic surgery is a complex one, highlighting the societal pressures and personal struggles faced by many women. While she has openly discussed her reasons for undergoing multiple procedures, it's important to remember that body image is a highly subjective and personal experience. It's essential to avoid body-shaming or making assumptions about others' choices regarding their appearance, as everyone has their unique reasons and experiences.

Moreover, the article raises the issue of the potential risks associated with illegal butt implants, which Cardi B mentioned having prior to her fame. It underscores the importance of seeking safe and ethical surgical procedures when considering cosmetic enhancements. It's crucial to consult with qualified healthcare professionals and thoroughly research the potential risks and benefits before making any decisions.
