Camila Cabello and Charli XCX are not feuding.

Cabello, 27, addressed the comparisons to Charli, 31, in an interview with Paper Magazine on March 20. She expressed her admiration for Charli and her music, considering the comparisons to be a compliment. Cabello made it clear that there is no bad blood between them, stating, "Charli loves me, so everybody can just back off."

Fans began comparing the music of two female artists earlier this month. Camila Cabello gave a sneak peek of her upcoming song "I Luv It" on YouTube by sharing a short clip. In the video, she leaned out of a car window and sang along to her new tune. Many followers quickly pointed out that the track sounded quite similar to Charli's popular song "I Got It."

Some fans commented, "In her Charli XCX eraaaa," suggesting a resemblance in the music styles. Another fan wondered if Charli XCX was actually featured in Cabello's song. A third fan excitedly wrote, "Charli XCX omg???" expressing surprise at the similarity in the songs.

Charli posted another video on March 7, this time dancing in a car to “I Got It.” Followers were quick to connect with her once again.

She captioned the viral post with a simple “Lol.” This cryptic message sparked fans’ speculations about a possible feud.

“CAMILA SHADE HELLO,” one social media user commented, as another wrote, “TELL HER MAMA.”

After Cabello shared her feelings with Paper, Pop Base put together a video of the two dancing in their cars side by side. Charli then reposted the video on Wednesday, adding a caption with lyrics from Cabello's song: "i luv it i luv it i luv it i luv it!" Fans were quick to comment that the two artists had put an end to any rumors of conflict.

The connection between Cabello and Charli goes back to June 2019, when Cabello and her former partner Shawn Mendes released the hit song "Señorita." Charli received credit for co-writing the song, along with Cabello, Mendes, Benny Blanco, and others.

The women had the opportunity to be opening acts for Taylor Swift's 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour. They even joined Swift on stage during one of her performances of "Shake It Off."

Charli XCX, Camila Cabello, and Taylor Swift took the stage together on May 8, 2018 in Glendale, Arizona. The event was a huge success, with fans raving about the incredible performances.

Since February, Cabello has been dropping hints about her upcoming fourth studio album. Her fans have been eagerly anticipating its release ever since she wiped her Instagram clean and debuted a stunning new platinum blonde hair color.

She captioned a post with a smiley face, saying, "it's time :)", while sharing never-before-heard music in the background.

In a later interview with Puss Puss Magazine that month, she revealed details about the music fans can look forward to hearing on her upcoming album.

She explained that she is currently grappling with feelings of confusion and loneliness after her recent breakup at the age of 26. Despite feeling strong in other aspects of her life as an adult, she admitted to feeling small and weird in matters of the heart. She described the process as wrestling with these emotions and fully immersing herself in exploring them, noting that many songs on her upcoming album reflect this introspection.

Cabello has not announced a release date for the album at this time.
