Shockingly, no. After Calvin’s supposedly fatal boat crash in Virgin River Season 4, it’s revealed that he survived during Season 5.

Calvin, who had been missing since Episode 9 of Season 4, was believed to be dead by Melissa (Barbara Pollard) and Brady by the season finale. It wasn't until Season 5 Episode 10 that fans finally got some answers, as Calvin suddenly approached Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) during the town's Labor Day festival.
This is tied to Calvin's relationship with Melissa, as his sudden reveal of being alive drastically shifted their dynamic. Since Season 4, Melissa has taken over Calvin's work, erasing any leadership he once had. In the season finale, Melissa visits Brady's house to plan the boat crash that was meant to kill Calvin.
As Season 5 progresses, the reason behind Melissa's desire to get rid of Calvin is still unclear, aside from her desire to take complete control of his business. With two episodes left in Season 5, there is a chance that Melissa's motives will be clarified.
Meanwhile, there have been significant developments in Charmaine's life. Season 5 Part 1 reveals that Calvin is the father of her twins, potentially bringing Calvin back into her life in a new capacity.
