Bruce Springsteen has provided an update on the stomach illness that resulted in the rescheduling of his tour. During the introduction of his SiriusXM E Street Radio program "From My Home to Yours," The Boss humorously referred to himself as "your beloved rock star with a challenging stomach issue!"
Springsteen expressed gratitude towards his supporters, acknowledging their understanding amidst his ongoing battle against a distressing illness.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my fans who were affected by the postponement of our shows. I genuinely apologize for the inconvenience caused, as this stomach ailment, although I try to maintain a sense of humor about it, continues to significantly impact my physical well-being."
Bruce Springsteen, who is 74 years old, stated in a released statement last month that he has been steadily recovering from peptic ulcer disease for the past few weeks. As per the advice of his doctors, he will continue with treatment for the rest of the year. Consequently, due to an abundance of caution, all the remaining tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band in 2023 will be postponed until 2024.
Springsteen had also had to postpone some earlier shows with his E Street Band. He had kicked off a tour in February, his first in the US since 2016.
