Brittany Cartwright recently spoke out about her appearance in The Valley series trailer. She mentioned that her look seemed off due to a liposuction procedure she had undergone. Cartwright, who is 35 years old, expressed her feelings on the matter during an episode of her podcast with estranged husband Jax Taylor called "When Reality Hits."

During the podcast episode, Cartwright shared that she felt like she would be seen with a frown face for most of the upcoming season. She also pointed out that the trailer did not provide any explanation for her altered facial appearance.

Cartwright mentioned that her mouth looks normal again after seeming different in the promotional clips for the Vanderpump Rules spinoff.

She explained that about three weeks before filming began, she had a procedure done on her double chin. The doctor performed some liposuction under her chin and also did a treatment called Morpheus8, which is also known as micro needling. Cartwright candidly shared that double chins, often referred to as the "turkey gobbler," are common in her family.

Cartwright decided to undergo the procedure before filming began for The Valley. She explained, “No matter what I was dealing with, no matter how much weight I lost, I still felt like I had something there. It wasn’t a major surgery, just under my chin. My doctors expected my face to look normal again by the time filming started.”

She mentioned that the results of the procedure were noticeable for most of the first season.

She shared that whenever she is upset or something, it seems like she has a frowning face. At first, it was funny because she had to put her finger on her bottom lip to speak since it would not move up and down.

The Valley, set to premiere later this month, follows a group of friends transitioning from their wild younger days to parenthood and adulting in California's San Fernando Valley. This marks Cartwright and Taylor's comeback to Bravo after leaving Vanderpump Rules in 2020.

Taylor, who is 44 years old, was part of the original cast of Vanderpump Rules when it first aired in 2013. Cartwright later joined the show in 2015 after she began dating Taylor, eventually becoming a main cast member as well.

After a period of stepping back from the public eye, Taylor and Cartwright decided to grow their family and had a son named Cruz in 2021. Recently, the couple shared that they are currently taking a break from their marriage to focus on themselves.

Many of you have been curious about Jax and my relationship. It's important to me to be honest and real with you all because we've shared so much of our lives with you. I don't want to come off as dishonest, so I feel it's necessary to address this. On the February 29 episode of our podcast, I shared my thoughts.

I want to clear the air due to the online speculation and rumors. Marriages can be tough, and I went through a challenging year. Jax and I have decided to take some time apart. For my mental well-being, I chose to move into a different home to create some space. This is a difficult topic for me to discuss, so I won't delve into too many details at the moment.

The trailer for The Valley, released on Monday, March 11, suggested there were problems in Cartwright and Taylor's relationship. Cartwright mentioned feeling like Taylor wasn't attracted to her and they never have sex. Another scene showed Cartwright upset when Taylor said she couldn't show any emotions.

The Valley will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, March 19, at 9 p.m. ET.
