Breaking News: Shocking Arrest Warrant Issued for Venezuelan Opposition Leader Juan Guaido, Attorney General reveals!

Venezuelan authorities have announced an arrest warrant for former opposition leader Juan Guaido, stated the country's attorney general on Thursday. Attorney General Tarek William Saab informed the press in Caracas that Guaido had utilized the resources of the state-owned oil company PDVSA to fund himself and cover his legal costs.

Juan Guaido misused PDVSA resources to fund himself, cover his legal expenses, and pressurize PDVSA into accepting his financial terms. These actions led to a substantial loss of $19 billion to the nation and the near-irreversible damage to Citgo," stated Saab.

"Consequently, a fresh inquiry has been initiated against former deputy Juan Guaido, and we have petitioned for his arrest warrant."

Guaidó held the position of interim president in Venezuela's transitional government from 2019 until late 2022. However, he was eventually removed from his leadership role due to his inability to make substantial progress against Nicolas Maduro's authoritarian regime. Faced with threats and claiming to have been expelled from Colombia, Guaido relocated to Miami on April 25, where he has been residing since.

Saab announced that Venezuela will ask Interpol to issue a red notice.

According to Saab, Guaido's arrest warrant will be for various alleged crimes including treason, usurpation of functions, profit from money, securities and public goods, money laundering, and association.

The attorney general has disclosed that there are currently at least 28 ongoing investigations in the country targeting Guaido. These investigations encompass a wide range of alleged crimes, such as usurpation of functions, money laundering, terrorism, arms trafficking, and treason.

Venezuelans unlawfully crossing the US-Mexico border without a legal right to stay in the US will now face removal, as reported by senior officials in the administration. Furthermore, it has been stated that Venezuela has agreed to repatriate its citizens. Secretary of State Antony Blinken described this new policy as a crucial element in the administration's migration strategy.
