Manchester United Women have rejected a bid from an undisclosed club for England goalkeeper Mary Earps, despite it being a record-breaking offer for a female goalkeeper. The club is determined to retain Earps and has no plans of selling her.
United want her to extend her deal, which has one year left to run.

Earps saved a penalty in the World Cup final
They regard her as the top female goalkeeper globally and are eager to retain her as an essential member of their team.
United, who recently acquired Brazilian striker Geyse from Barcelona, are reinforcing their squad in this transfer period to bolster their chances of improving upon their second-place finish in the WSL last season.
They anticipate making larger signings in the upcoming weeks.
Earps participated in all seven of England's matches during the World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. Furthermore, she showcased exceptional skill by saving a penalty from Spain's Jenni Hermoso in the final match, despite the eventual defeat.
The England goalkeeper received the Golden Glove accolade after England secured the second position. Earps was acquired by United from Wolfsburg in 2019. She has been a consistent presence in United's league matches for the past four seasons, playing every minute, and she was honored with The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper award in February.
The WSL transfer window closes on September 14 and the season starts on October 1.

Earps expressed deep disappointment and hurt over the sports clothing giant's previous choice to exclusively sell England Women's home and away shirts, and not offer the same opportunity for the men's goalkeeping shirts. Following Spain's victory over England in the Sydney tournament final, Nike initially defended their decision and mentioned their commitment to finding solutions for upcoming tournaments.
Earps once again voiced her disagreement with that statement on social media, prompting a change.org petition that garnered over 150,000 signatures demanding that Nike produce replicas of her kit. The company ultimately reversed its decision. Additionally, the Manchester United player received the FIFA Best award for the world's best goalkeeper earlier this year and also secured the Golden Glove at the Women's World Cup by saving a penalty in the final match despite the team's defeat.
