Summary

The Continental is a prequel show to the John Wick franchise, set in the 1970s, and follows the origin story of Winston and Charon.

The series comprises only three episodes, each running approximately 90 minutes. New episodes of The Continental premiere on Peacock every Friday, culminating with the finale on October 6th. Following that, the franchise will persist with the release of Ballerina in 2024.

Entering the world of John Wick once again, The Continental prequel show has premiered its initial episode and promises more to come. This series, exclusive to Peacock, breaks new ground in the John Wick franchise by focusing on the backstory of Winston Scott, the manager of The Continental hotel in 1970s New York City. Set approximately 35 years prior to the events depicted in John Wick (2014), The Continental delves into the longstanding dealings of Winston and his trusted concierge Charon with the High Table and the global criminal underworld before the arrival of the infamous Baba Yaga.

From the very first episode, The Continental delivers the same exhilarating action sequences and masterful choreography expected of the John Wick franchise. Young Winston Scott is urgently summoned back to New York by crime lord Cormac to locate his estranged brother Frankie. Although the limited series has just begun, there is much ground left to cover before its conclusion, including Winston's triumph over Cormac and his ascension as the manager of The Continental Hotel. Despite its brevity as a miniseries, The Continental is set to unveil more episodes, unraveling the captivating prequel story of John Wick on the Peacock platform.

Breaking News: Exclusive Update on the Release Schedule and Remaining Episodes of The Continental!

The Continental surprises with only three episodes for the entire miniseries. After the premiere episode, "Brothers in Arms," streamed on Peacock on September 22, there are still two more episodes to come. Despite its limited episode count, The Continental doesn't compromise on storytelling. This three-night event features 90-minute episodes, making it essentially a mini prequel trilogy to the John Wick series. When compared to the John Wick movies, which range from the original 2014 film's 1 hour and 41 minutes to the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4's lengthy 2 hours and 49 minutes, The Continental's episodes remain relatively short for the franchise.
