Many players have expressed frustration with how the Season of the Malignant was handled, particularly with its initial release with Patch 1.1. However, Blizzard has been taking steps to address these concerns and the upcoming Season aims to further improve the game.

The upcoming Season is set to introduce new Bosses, Unique items, a stash search function, a stat overhaul, and more. One exciting reveal is the introduction of Uber Duriel, which will allow players to obtain previously difficult-to-obtain Uber Uniques in Diablo 4. Despite a decrease in player and Twitch viewership numbers, Blizzard remains committed to supporting and expanding the Diablo 4 community, including launching the game on Steam.

Starting October 17, Diablo 4 will no longer be exclusive to Battle.net on PC and will be available on Steam alongside Overwatch 2. Despite the potential for negative reviews, Diablo 4's purchase requirement may reduce the impact of review bombing compared to the free-to-play Overwatch 2. It's worth noting that Steam users will still need a Battle.net account for cross-platform play.
