The latest season of Apex Legends, Season 17, has brought numerous exciting updates, including the arrival of a new Legend called Ballistic. However, the addition of cross-progression would undoubtedly be one of the most significant developments in the game for quite some time.
For years, gamers have been eagerly anticipating Respawm Entertainment's implementation of cross-progression in Apex Legends. The possibility of this highly requested feature has been a topic of discussion since 2020, with various members of the development team expressing their opinions. As a result, the release of this feature has remained uncertain, leaving fans questioning if it will ever happen. Thankfully, recent information suggests that the wait may finally be coming to an end for anxious fans.
New evidence has emerged after the release of the Dressed to Kill update, indicating that cross-progression may soon be introduced for Apex Legends. This information comes from trusted dataminers AG240 and KralRindo, who have discovered game files related to this feature. Specifically, these files contained what KralRindo referred to as "cross progression checks," which were added to the UI. To support their findings, they even shared a screenshot of code lines. Additionally, AG240 shared lines of code such as "CrossProgression_Enabled," "CrossProgression_PlayerCardMaxNum," and "CrossProgression_SetMainProfileErrorBlockLogin."
Since sharing their discoveries on Twitter, the Apex Legends community has taken notice.
