Cameron Archer, a member of the victorious England U21 team in this year's Euros, was initially considered by Sheffield United as a potential replacement for Iliman Ndiaye. Ndiaye recently departed for Marseille, a club in Ligue 1, during the early days of August.
Chuba Akpom and Malik Tillman, the desired players, have recently committed to Eredivisie clubs. Specifically, Akpom has chosen Ajax, while Tillman has been acquired by PSV. Additionally, several Championship clubs were considering a potential transfer for Archer. Notably, Archer showcased his talent during a loan stint at Middlesbrough, achieving an impressive record of 11 goals and six assists in 23 appearances under the guidance of Michael Carrick in the previous season.
