Spoilers for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 5 revealed a flashback of Boruto and Sasuke, detailing events during the time skip. The upcoming chapter will depict the events occurring one year after the previous manga.

Sasuke and Boruto could be seen training. That's when the latter ended the session for a break. As the two were sitting around a bonfire, Boruto asked his master if he had properly learned the Uchiha style of fighting.

Sasuke surprised Boruto by revealing that he had managed to teach him everything he knew in just a year. This meant that Sasuke had nothing left to teach him. At first, Boruto thought it was a joke, but he quickly realized that Sasuke never joked around. According to Sasuke, Boruto was a quick learner and had the same eagerness to train as Naruto Uzumaki. Despite learning quickly, Boruto still needed to train and master those techniques.

Following this, Code confronted the duo and engaged them in a fierce battle. Using one of his Claw Grimes, Code turned Sasuke into a tree.
