The manga series Bocchi the Rock has already circulated an impressive 3 million copies with just its first six volumes, reaching a significant milestone following the success of its anime adaptation. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the manga's initially slow sales. Authored and illustrated by Aki Hamazi, Bocchi the Rock is a Japanese four-panel manga series that first appeared in Houbunsha's seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Max in December 2017. To date, the series has produced six compiled volumes, with a seventh on the horizon.

High school student Hitori "Bocchi" Gotou leads a solitary existence. In her spare moments, she dedicates herself to practicing her guitar, harboring the hope that one day she'll join a band and, in turn, gain recognition. With this in mind, she envisions creating a school band as her initial foray into enhancing her social life.
Unfortunately, her inadequate social skills held her back, leading her to spend years practicing her guitar in solitude. Nonetheless, she eventually found online success by sharing guitar covers of popular songs.

As a hard fan of Bocchi the Rock, I am thrilled to hear that the manga has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. This is a testament to the series' popularity and the hard work of its creator, Aki Hamazi. The story of Hitori "Bocchi" Gotou and her journey to overcome her social anxiety and form a band is both heartwarming and inspiring. I am eagerly awaiting the release of the seventh volume of the manga and the second and third volumes of the English version.
I believe that Bocchi the Rock has the potential to become one of the most popular manga and anime series of all time. The characters are relatable and well-developed, the story is engaging and heartwarming, and the music is catchy and memorable. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys slice-of-life, comedy, or music anime and manga.
