The manga series Bocchi the Rock has already circulated an impressive 3 million copies with just its first six volumes, reaching a significant milestone following the success of its anime adaptation. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the manga's initially slow sales. Authored and illustrated by Aki Hamazi, Bocchi the Rock is a Japanese four-panel manga series that first appeared in Houbunsha's seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Max in December 2017. To date, the series has produced six compiled volumes, with a seventh on the horizon.

Initially starting in December 2017, it took until March 2023 to reach 2 million copies, following the release of the anime in the Fall 2022 season. However, the series has since sold an additional million copies worldwide, bringing the total circulation to 3 million with just six manga volumes.

Bocchi the Rock manga volume 7 is set to be released in the Fall of 2024. However, that is just the Japanese version of the manga.

Yen Press has currently only published one volume of the English version of the manga, with the second volume scheduled for release on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The third volume is expected to be released on May 21, 2024.

High school student Hitori "Bocchi" Gotou leads a solitary existence. In her spare moments, she dedicates herself to practicing her guitar, harboring the hope that one day she'll join a band and, in turn, gain recognition. With this in mind, she envisions creating a school band as her initial foray into enhancing her social life.

Unfortunately, her inadequate social skills held her back, leading her to spend years practicing her guitar in solitude. Nonetheless, she eventually found online success by sharing guitar covers of popular songs.
