Boardwalk Empire Actor Michael Stuhlbarg Targeted in NYC Assault by Homeless Individual

Actor Michael Stuhlbarg from Boardwalk Empire faced an assault in New York City involving a homeless individual armed with a rock.

Boardwalk Empire actor Michael Stuhlbarg was recently injured in an incident involving a homeless man near Central Park in New York City. The 55-year-old star suffered an abrasion after being attacked by a man wielding a rock.

The police reports, which were made public on Monday, April 1, stated that Stuhlbarg was walking in the area of East 90th and East Drive at around 7:45 p.m. when he was unexpectedly hit in the back of the neck by a 27-year-old man named Xavier Israel.

After the attack, the actor from Dopesick ran after Israel. The police outside the Russian consulate quickly caught Israel.

Israel, who is homeless, was arrested and charged with assault. The police mentioned that Stuhlbarg refused medical help.

Back in January 2022, Israel was arrested for two assaults and robbery.

US Weekly has contacted a representative for Stuhlbarg for comment.

Stuhlbarg gained popularity for his role as real-life gangster Arnold Rothstein in the successful HBO series, Boardwalk Empire, which aired from 2010 to 2014.

Recently, he portrayed Richard Sackler in Dopesick, earning an Emmy nomination, and played Mr. Perlman in the Oscar-nominated movie, Call Me by Your Name.
